So it seems every year, the week before we are able to get back into our classrooms, I always attempt to start a teaching blog.   I have my school supplies purchased, planned for our Common Core math modules and I am just about ready.... to go back to work.  I changed school districts about 9 years ago and have changed grades every year (with a variety of combo classes-K/1, 1/2).  I was able to get back into a first grade position last year and I actually am teaching 1st grade again!  Extremely excited!  With Common Core officially beginning this year for California, it doesn't mean there won't be lots of changes.
